Looks like the right answer for us 330hp 454 guys - sell what we have and drop one of those babies in place for about $3k difference.

I have a 540 with only 23hrs on it and makes 625hp @ 5750.Dyno sheet avail. Flame arrestor to pan no exhaust for $6000. Built on longisland by MCBETTS RACING.Not is some backyard garage.Anyone interested send me a pm Thanks MIKE

Interesting! I would like to know compression ratio, and some torque figures. Also, what are the composition of the valves? What kind of pushrods, rocker arms, fasteners, i.e rod and main bolts? I would expect a healthy 454 to be in the 450-460 HP range. It may be a good deal and a great engine, just be careful, you just need to ask alot of questions, and the last comment, how far away is the builder from where you live? I consider that a big factor unless it is someone very famous.

These guys rebuilt my 540 last year. engine ran very well. They have some good prices on their engines. Bill (owner) has been building motors for a long time. Pm me for more info
