Just out of curiousity, how hard is it to change the belt and how much do the replacement belts cost??

Re: Jesel Or Comp Belt Drive?
The Jesel belt is very easy to change. With the proper tools and adequate working room, one can be changed in 20 minutes or less. Pull balancer, remove upper Jesel pulley { one left hand threaded bolt }, remove and replace belt, reinstall upper pulley, reinstall balancer. Some other nice features of the Jesel include being able to advance or retard the cam 10 degrees each way, and you can change the cam without removing the front cover. I believe the last belt was 70 bucks. Like I previously stated, belts looked fine when replaced, just cheap insurance and part of my normal maintenance program. Big difference in the spring pressure and rpm I was running verses the average weekend cruiser. I would expect much longer life in a more user friendly enviorment Less heat, and much less spring pressure and rpm. Just my .02.
