Default Good mech fuel pressure gauge

Can you guys recommend a good place to get a quality mechanical fuel pressure gauge as a check for the electric gauge on my dash? Everything I see comes as an automotive kit with adapters for GM, Ford, etc...
I think all I need is a gauge with NPT nipple to screw into my fuel rail. Right???

Joe -

Thanks for the response. I am running a Whipple setup which has a VDO electric sending unit (1/8"NPT)screwed into the fuel rail. I would use the same port.

If you are looking for a permanent install try Summit or Jegs. Any speed shop should have something suitable for less than $50

I did some searching and found and industrial quality, liquid filled pressure gauge with a ±1% error from McMaster Carr. It is 0-60 psi, liquid filled, 316 SS case, and 1/8"NPT connection. It has a 1.25" face and the temperature range is good to 150°F so I'll probably just leave it connected permanently to my fuel rail. Shipped to my door for $23.

They have about every combination of size, pressure range, connection, accuracy, and case materials that you can imagine.

When taking readings with the liquid filled gauge, at the time of use, you must vent the gauge. This is done by removing the rubber plug on the back of the gauge.
Make sure the plug is above the liquid line or the liquid will run out. Of course, replace the plug after venting.
The gauge can build up pressure over time and will give you inaccurate readings.
