Re: TRS to #3
Fill, recut the transom. New gimbal, SSM tailstock for the tranny, add external hydraulic steering.
Oh yeah, may need new motor mounts (changed drive height) and exhaust modifications.

Re: TRS to #3
I have checked the konrads. I just dont have the budget yet for two 540's. I do have one #3 transom/drive already. Just looking into the future...

#3 will slow you down over a TRS. It's a chit load of work, Ive done one before and it just isn't worth it. The Konrad is a one day conversion and will cost you no more than the price of the drive.
Just did this Pantera last week.

Prater,
Do you have full hydraulic external steering? If not, you'll need to convert to it. Although a few IIIs did come with internal steering, almost nothing from a standard TRS steering or TRS with "add on" hydraulics will work on a III.
That addition to the price might get you a little closer to the Konrad swap.
