Sloppy main bearings will usualy show up a slight rise in oil pressure when you chop the throttle at cruise. The cam lube I used took two changes to get rid of, I had a lot at the 1 hour change and maybe 1/10th but noticable at the 5 hour change at the 10 hour change it was finaly gone>

Question do you have an aluminum timing cover? A friend built an engine last year and forgot to install a cam buttom, his oil was scary silver!! The indentation in the cover was only a few thousands deep but made one hell of a mess in the oil.
