Whats the best marine radio. AM / FM Receiver.
It has to play MP3's read CD CDr CDRW's have a remote wireless or wired.
Whats good bang for the buck. It does not have to have a lot of power I can add an amp but if it comes high power thats great too.
Thanks Rob

Best bang for the buck.
Marine Head unit with the aforementioned qualifications
Sony CDX-50M $157
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14678
Marine Remote (wired)
Sony RMXM-10W
Found the best price for this here:
http://www.partstore.com/
(76.95 + tax and shipping for me was $92.02) Remote Only
With this one you'll still need a $30 unilink cable and 1/4" plug Male/Female end wired remote cable $5.
Or it can be purchased complete from these guys for a couple dollars more..

Hope this helps.

I have been looking at this unit. I had a sony receiver in my last boat and it was hard to make it skip.

Re: Whats the best marine radio. AM / FM Receiver.
It drives my set of JL Audio 6x9s and 6" coaxials nicely on the factory amp at mid volume levels 20-22, without any noticeable distortion.
