Re: Velvet Drive help? + Pictures of a 10-18
Thanks Gary,
I never pulled a drive off, was thinking I would try to avoid that for fear of needing seals and what not. What is the head ache potential with pulling the drive off ? looks like the are bellows and what not, I have a couple wires that go in too.

The wires are just for grounding.
When you remove the 6 bolts at the top, back of the drive, it will separate from the bell housing.
The bellows is connected to the bell housing/transom plate and does not come off.
When putting it back on, you should replace the large paper gasket and big rubber O ring between the drive and bell housing. Grease the O ring to hold it in place while reinstaiing the drive.
