Default Quartering Seas and Tabs.........

I am relatively new in ocean boating and wanted to make sure I knew the gist of what to do in quartering seas. Take for instance boating in the Pacific and driving north the swells would be coming at me port side left to right. So do I drop my port side tab or the opposite, my starboard side tab? Dumb question , but just checking. Thanks guys!

Drop the tab on the same side that leans down. That way it will raise it up.
