Default Looking for a thermo switch??

I need a thermo switch that will close a set of contacts at around 190*-200*.. perferable with 1/8" pipe thread..

Any idea where I might find one?? Auto suppliers have limited resources for looking up other than application.. What kind of car is it?? Drives me nuts!!

Any help would be appreciated!

Dick

What you probably want is a thermostatic fan switch.
You know, the ones they use in cars to turn the electric fans on.
I think a KEM RF3 might be in your temp range (at least that's what I found on the internet).

Airpax has a great selection of temp switches. They may only sell through distributors but you can email them to find the closest one. http://www.airpax.net/site/sensing/bimetal/index.html

Dick,

I have had good luck getting switches from these guys. You will have to call, the site requires year, make and model. They can help by phone.

Hey thanks guys.. I will check them all out in the morning.. Sorry I didnt respond sooner. I spent the evening boating for a change.. I was actually on the water tuning my new EFI, (that I built).. Kinda cool now that it is coming together. Wont have my WB O2 sensor back from Innovate till Tues.. then I will know if my fuel map is close. Till then I am taking it easy. I did have it to 5krpm at one point...

Goodt.. to answer your question.. I am working on a new gadget!! But can tell anyone till the copyrights are done.. *S*
