ok, got a old school Acell Super Coil from a older 66 Mustang with points....

will I see anything if I put this one on my SBC??
(350 CID --260hp) 1986 motor

I had a balast resistor on my mustang and saw a difference ??

but I realize that thing are different on a marine motor.

tunderbolt ignition...Jacobs 8.5 mm wires....

I don't think you will be able to feel any difference. Takes about a 20hp gain to see +1mph so..

No. I had an MSD coil on my otherwise stock TB IV ignition. All I saw was a bad coil after a 2 seasons.

I used them on alot of hotrods years ago. Make sure you mount it in the verticle position to keep oil covering windings if you can. Unless you currently have a weak spark not igniting all your fuel you probably will gain nothing,Smitty

The Merc T-Bolt does not use a ballast resistor, therefore your ignition has a lot more power to begin with than that old Mustang set-up.

No reason to change the coil on your T-Bolt unless it's bad. When it comes time (if it ever does) than go with a modern epoxy filled coil.

My 02 stop spending money on 'supposed' ignition upgrades and save it for a better intake manifold or something. LOL.

Good luck finding a coil wire that fits the Accel and the TB. Don't ask me how I know.

I've always used these on my rebuilds, but learned something with this last engine. The Accel does not have good support for the internal windings, I hit a wake (wasn't even that much of a jolt) and the engine dies. 3 Hours later idleing back to the lift on one motor just to take the coil apart on the bench to see that the lead was broken from the impact. Put the original coil on the motor and would replace it with an epoxy potted high vibe one if the original ever fails, (original is 19 years old.)

Can't tell any difference in operation.
