Rev limiter

I don’t have the PN with me but on my old 1990 330hp 454 with the Thunderbolt ignition ( I am pretty sure is a V8-24) system what was the rev limiter set at?

Re: Rev limiter

Tbolt IV modules do not have a rev limit function.

Re: Rev limiter

No rev limiters on TB IV's. On Blue engines with TB IV's they use a separate rev limiter.

Re: Rev limiter

My '89 330 was good to 5500 extended runs and up to 6000 bursts for six years then it stuck a valve from bad riser gaskets. It's a really good stock motor!

Re: Rev limiter

I have the same ignition system from my 330 hp 454 on my 500hp 502. I cant seem to get over 5100 rpms out of it. So are you saying there is no rev limiter on this motors system?
