TRS Power steering removal

The hydraulic cylinder on my power steering needs to be replaced. I need to pull the whole assembly off the transom assembly to get to it. Anyone ever done this? If so, how do you do it? Any tips to make it easier would be appriciated. It's just stock merc stuff on an 85 Cig. Thanks
Dave
