Default XR drive

My boat currently has a bravo1 outdrive.Can i change that to a baravoxr drive without changing the transom assembly?

Call Marc at Bam Marine. Merc now makes a kit that has everything you need for around 85 bucks.

I bought 2 xr drives to replace my standard bravo!Everything bolted straight!I removed each bravo and slid the xr right in!No worries!

It depends on the input shaft ujoints. The new gimble bearing is offset by .050" and the trim limit spacers keep the drive from tilting too far when the old style large ujoints are in the shaft. I have not tried it with the new shafts, but the joints are smaller... So I would not go without the spacers until someone measures the clearance.
