Default merc 377 up grades

this guy has a 377 hooked up to a b1 he's running a 17p m, can the icu unit and S/M headers or C/M headers give him 5mph or a M1 Blower or 177 or 250 blower get him 10mph???? just trying to help him out. I was thinking A/S for icu. and blower m1 and ex either s/m or c/m. thanks

anyone its a merc small block 377motor any thoughts on up grades stock I think is 300 or325 hp??

Is it the Scorpion Motor ? If it is I think it's 350 HP. If he really wants more I would say Whipple it !

yes it is its some kind of a pontoon boat with a FG BODY on it up on a lake in NH. if he does a whipple he would need to get headers too I think.

As for headers I would think so. I really would consider a big block for this application. Chasing horsepower in a small block is like chasing ghosts.

its not my boat he want's to pick up a few mph just trying to get some thoughts on what to do. I think I will have him call A/S down south.

If he only wants to pick up a couple MPH how about labbibng the prop ?

WELL on the low end he's looking for 5 and would love 10 to 12. so with headers cam what is it icu computer adjusted and bigger injectors? would he pick up another 50hp then go up in pitch labbed prop. or go headers, comp,blower, prop. what sounds better. his buddy is going 55 and he would love to show up at the lake this summer and wave by by for once after 4yrs he said. when they run he gets the holeshot but runs out of speed at 45
