Scratched Headers- What can be done?
I have two sets of Stelling headers that over the years have been scratched up. I was thinking of having them coated to a polished aluminum look but I love the bright stainless. Can I send them back to Stellings or can someone else polish them out?

Or save some money and wet sand them with 1000grit
and use some 3m rubbing compound on them with the
Buffer.
Works great just takes time.

Depending on how deep the scratches are, use some Mother's Mag Wheel polish and a lot of elbow grease. For deeper scratches, wet sand or use a more agressive compound first.

I would recommend 1200 or 1500. Then use a polish. 1000 grit is a bit rough for my liking.

it says to start with 1000 then 1200 then 2000 micro fine.
then use 3m 5380 med duty rubbing compound.
Stainless is tough as nails
Not comparible to Chroma clear
