I have and use the Diacom and love the way it works. Must have a laptop but is fun to use.

Do any of you have the Merc CDS software? How does it compare to Diacom? Merc keeps trying to push us into buying it, but it's pretty pricey. I don't see it doing any more than the Diacom.

What's the website for Diacom? I'm wanting to purchase a scan tool for my 496HO's just to have handy.

I have the scan tool. It is nice. But if you already have a lab top computer at your disposal consider the Diacom software and ECU connector package for a little more. It does everthing that the scan tool does and a ton more to include recording, playback and data print out and export to Excel, etc., etc. Night and day difference for a few more bucks. I wish that I had.

Don't really need all that, just the basics to get to the facts if/when i have problems without having to rely on someone else, or pay.

I use 8 LC-1's on the dyno all the time! You can't beat em for the cost! Then you can leave em on the engine when you do drivability testing.
