Default Fuel pressure system initial setting Qustion

I am running Barry Grant electric pump attatched to an Aeromotive inline large screen filter, plumbed through an Imco 4 way electric tank switching system which then feeds a 4 port BG 400 series adjustable regulator at the carbs that feeds each port. In between the fuel pump and the filter is the adjustable fuel bypass.

Question is what psi should this be set at to run 7 psi at the bowls consistently without running too much pressure or too little??

thanks for the help

Do you have a gauge at the regulator? I run the Aeromotive set-up with six PSI at the regulator. Any fuel not needed to maintain six PSI flows back to the tank.

I have a BG system with aeromotivie filter only. I am looking for what the actual initial pressure setting would usally and normally be set at for the by pass.

Your regulator controls the pressure and anything else flows back to the tank through the bypass. I don't think the bypass has it's own setting. At least not the way mine is plumbed. Unless the BG system is totally different.

I'm hoping you're only using that pump for priming or nitrous or something. The BG400 fuel pump is designed for short term drag race use Only it is not designed to be used extended duty.
