I used a bowtie block for my last rebuild like the one you spec.
Everything bolts up correctly except the front timing chain which you have to get from Imco, and the spark knock sensor has to be relocated. Then when you use the thicker timing cover from Imco you have to change the bolts on the water pump backing plate to allen head recess type so the pump bolts up without hitting the front cover. My bowtie block had the 1-piece seal for the crank, but I used a new crank from Callies that was set up for internal balancing

I was told the bolt pattern on that block had both bolt patterns gen 5 and 6 for the timing covers?
mine has a water cross over, the timing cover gen 6 is a cast aluminum cover,6 bolt
the knock sensor is right by the drain hole, theres a bunch of stuff by it.Were did ya relocate it?
I am using the 1 piece rear seal crank.
thanks for the replies
Rob

I looked up my part block and it is the same number you are looking to buy. It has Gen 5 timing cover holes. I never tried to bolt up the Gen 6 cover when I saw all the timing holes so you might be right about it accepting both covers. It is an excellent block as it is much beefier than the Gen 6.
