Single hyd assist streering to full hyd

I have a single Marine Machine assist streering system and am considering going to full hydrallic. I have been looking at the kits to do this. At this time, I just want to stay with the single ram. Is there a difference in the kits, if I would want to add the other ram later? Thanks

I've never seen a single ram full hydraulic system. I don't even know if you can do it. The fluid transfers from one ram to the other when you turn.
If you are going to do it, just add the other ram at the same time.

Call Marine Machine or WPM (Warlock Performance) both can set you up. The helm unit is a differant volume that the twin cylinder set-up.

I just completed the addition to my single ram system. I got everything from CP Performance as a kit. If you are considering going to a dual system you will need to swap the helm to a dual ram unit (they hold more fluid). I would think they (CP) would do the swap for the difference in price between the helms.

It depends on what you have now. I have a 496 which has a reservoir, so I did not need one. Give them a call and tell them what you have, they can help you get what you need.

Lathem is also a source with good support.

I sell alot more over the phone but I am not a dealer I did a large purchase of boat parts about $700,000.00 worth and I am selling on Ebay. I try to list about 20 new items a week but I just list most of my hydraulic steering items.
