merc 1075 drysump start up..
on cold startup any procedure or what care should be taken to insure long life out of these motors??Other than warm them up before turning them loose..

crank them with the igniton kill pulled as to pressureize the oiling system. not sure if that will hurt the newstyle system opps , but it is the only thing out side of prelubers you can do. this is a set of 1250 quadrotors very similiar to the 1075's. the oilers help out for sure

Prime dry sump pumps
Best bet is to pull the belt off the dry sump pump and spin the pully with an air gun for a minute or two. Jegs makes a belt attachment for a dry sump pump to a drill if you cannot access the front of the engine. This should be done before firing if the engines have been sitting for some time. Don't do the crank method please. We do this everytime we fire off, if motors have sat for more than a day.
