Default 500 hp valve covers removal

Is it possible to remove the 500 hp valve covers without removing the gil exhaust manifolds. I have a late model carb motor with the plastic type valve covers, not the older finned style.
Thanks

I got them off using a short 1/4" drive
socket and a wobble extension.

Thanks for the info. It looked like they would clear. I knew someone had to know for sure.

going back on it helps to have a small aluminum metal scribe with a tungston on one end and a magnet on the other. this seemed to work the best for me. It helps to place the fastner in with the magnet.

Pretty easy to remove them with a 1/4 socket, extension and wobble. A little more difficult to reinstall.

If your "wobble" is too wobblie wrap some electrical tape on it to firm it up. Also to hold the nut put some sort of plumbers putty so it doesn't drop between the exhaust manifold & the head. Oh...make sure you have extra bolts or nuts pending whatever set you have.
