Smitty,
Velcro.. the fastest way to mount everything in the engine compartment. Double it up on the motor mounts.. you'll be good!!

Super Job Smitty!!! I don't think anybody works as hard at "the quest" for reliable horsepower as you. Thanks for sharing with all of us. BTW, checked my drive lube and the cryogenically treated gears you did for me are great.

Smitty,

Welcome to the big leagues!

You’re going to find that its easy to snap things other than the lower gears with 1100+HP. Keep a spare drive handy. Great numbers, Good luck!

I usually run kendall gt1 20w/50 but we were getting 100-105 psi of oil pressure because we could not get the oil hot enough on the dyno so as soon as I saw we were getting zero blowby coming out of the breathers I put in some mobil 1 10w/30,still had 90 psi wot but picked up over 10 hp N/A with it. Changed oil twice on dyno and cut filter open 3 times,no metal so things are looking good,I'm buying me a filter cutter asap as often as I change oil,it was a cool azz tool,Smitty

Putting the engine back in my boat and getting everthing packed back in and hooked up is just a miserable job,we tore out the msd, fuel system, voltage booster for fuel pump and alot of other stuff to take to the dyno,I wanted to have motor sitting back in boat and aligned by last night so that my son who works for me could put everything back in this week so I could hit the water next weekend but it didn't happen,I been working 2 jobs 17 hours a day so it will be the weekend before I can get back to it,Smitty
heres a pic of the nightmare my engine compt looks like when its together

It was hard getting the oil much past 100 degrees on the dyno,I usually run 20w/50,we were seeing 100 psi with it so I put 10 qts of 10/30 in my 14 qt pan and 2 qt filter to try to help it warm up quicker and we still saw 90 at 6000 rpm's.I was sorta surprized too because the rods and mains have over .003 clearence, once it gets 220 degrees in the boat it will be MUCH lower,Smitty

Dave, I thought My smallest pulley was going to make 1025-1050 and I could run my 4.00 pulley and make about the same power I used to and run that set-up most of the time to keep the drive together but the bigger cam really raised the power (I made 1037 with my biggest pulley) so I think I'm going to have to get a 4.25 pulley to tame it down for long trips and vacations. I do have a spare max worx drive but I don't want to break one every weekend.I might get a B-max and sell both my max worx drives, the spare only has a few hours on it,Smitty
