When it comes to Procomps, I never here or read any good stories about them. I have no experience with them but that would scare me away. How many "bad" stories have you heard about AFR, Dart, or Canfield? I've never heard anything negative about any of them. Why roll the dice? By a brand that has an actual manufactuer in the USA that will stand behind their product. I know AFR, Canfield and Dart will, not so sure about Procomps.
I have a set of hard anodized Dart Pro 1's, cnc bowl blended with inconel valves on blower motor with 250 hours and no problems to speak of. I tried to buy Canfields but the wait was too long. That's good and bad, if they were junk they wouldn't be sold out of them half the time.
AFR seems to have some of the best numbers on the market right now. You wont read that their numbers are inflated or bs, most people that have them love them. That should tell you something.
I'm sure somebody has some success with the Procomps, I just wouldn't be willing to roll the dice and see if I could be one of them.

I bought the pro comps and have had no problems. Now i purchased mine from a reputable builder whom assembled them himself. there are a lot of shops buying the bare head and then assembling them. as long as they use quality parts you'll be fine. its not the casting that has the problems sounds like its the cheap valves, springs, retainers etc. that people are using.
