Default HP 500 EFI intake setup on a stock 502 ?

I have an opportunity to buy an almost new HP500EFI intake/fuel injection/ECM setup for a REALLY good price. Having just had a brand new GM 502 base engine installed a few months ago, would there be any benefit at all to putting forth the $$$ and time to swap out my old 502 fuel injection setup with the HP500 one ? For that matter, would there be any negatives to such a swap ? Just curious, it would be a winter project anyway. Thanks, Rock.

I would think with a HP500 cam you'd see the benefit of it, but I believe the program in the ecm isn't going to benefit you with a stock 502. JMO

Thanks, Bro. That's what I figured but I wasn't sure. Since the motor's brand new, a cam change is not in my future but it does make sense.
