Let us know how that goes. I'm still running the stock intakes, and I was thinking the bypass port might be a place for me to add water psi senders...whadya think?

usually the water pressure is taken off the block ...m

Yeah, but the intake is a lot easier to get to then the block drain Probably why you mounted your temporary psi gauge in the intake manifold? And doesn't that intake have two ports in the water passage? What do people use those for?
