Bravo funky growling noise / vibration very minute
Well this one has me perplexed.
I first noticed it last weekend at LOTO. on my port motor I have a slight growl / vibration, do not knwo how to best describe it. I can only hear / feel it when I have the captains call off as it is very slight.
It is the same in forward and reverse and does not appear to change with rpm, just on or off depending if the motor is in gear or not.
Any thoughts, ideas etc
Gimbal bearing???
I just want to make sure it is nothing dramatic before I pull down to the shootout.
THANKS

Do you have a bravo? Bad gimble i would describe as a rumble you will feel it in the floor it will do it in f-n-r. U -jounts is kind of a growl it will change as you turn the wheel. If you have a bravo and it only does it in gear it is likely in the lower gears or prop. Either way you should pull boat inspect prop, gear lube and finally pull drive if nec. Little vibrations turn into big problems if left un attended

I can swap the prop and change the gear lube easy enough to see if it goes away
It is a bravo and it only does it on F/R in N it is nice and quiet and wheel position makes zero difference
Guess I have a project this week
Thanks and keep the ideas coming
