Arrow throttle body

Is there a throttle body upgrade for a 1999-502 MPI. If so who makes and sells it.

There is no aftermarket throttle body that bolts on a 502 mpi that exist that I can find, the one azsm sells is for a hp500 and will not work. However I can bore yours out and install larger throttle blades, its worth approx 10 hp/ft lbs of tq on a modified motor (thats what I saw in back to back testing on the dyno) Smitty

Ken,the bored out throttle body is worth more than 10 hp on your blower motor too, unfortunately after we made 1115hp on the dyno we got so excited we never bolted the stock throttle body on to see how much power we would lose,Smitty

Hey Smitty it's good to see you got that T/B upgrade going. I did this last spring and am finally getting around to putting it all together.
Did you run into any problems getting the EFI to work right with more air at given throttle settings?
I am looking for a base map to start with, worried about being lean.
Looks like you got that thing close to the century mark

The tune didn't really change on the dyno going back and forth from the stock to the modified throttle body, the biggest thing is ensuring your tps base setting is the same as before and correct and that your iac counts aren't too high. I had to drill a 3/16 inch hole in each of my throttle plates to get my iac counts/idle correct but it wasn't because of the larger throttle plates,it was the bigger cam with less idle signal,Smitty
