Arrow check valve

I plan on installing a Areromotive 1000 fuel pump on a 502 EFI engine. Where is the best place to put a check valve before the pump or after.

I installed my check valve on the output side of the machanical pump. That way, if I am running on only the mechanical oump, fuel doesnt go back through the electric pump. When they are both on, fuel flows as normal. It may be a bit hard to see. The check valve is the red piece hanging down off the output of the mechanical pump.

Hey, Vinny, how about a shot from a little further back to see the pump? Those lines and fittiings look great...did you use them for hydraulics too?

This is the only other shot I have of the electric pump. I can take others if you can be a bit more specific.
