Default Transom Rebuild

I have a 1981 33' twin 454 Cigarette. I need to have the transom rebuilt and need a rough figure to budget for. Anyone had this work preformed? I live in Louisville Kentucky area and just trying to budget to make sure that we will be boating this summer.

Any help welcome.

What is the scope of work you are looking for? Entire drive train de-rig, transom replacement (including all cut outs and paint or gel coat), re-rig and engine re-alignment? Are you planning on raising the X? The budget will vary dramatically depending on what you want done. This is a big project that could be a significant % cost of the value of the boat. Unless you move quickly, your boating in 2008 could be limited.
