Default 500 efi aluminum heads

Looking for opinions on aluminum or another replacement head for a Merc 500 efi. Not trying to break the bank or have to do any mapping. Just looking to bolt on and go. Is this possible? Are there any gains to be had? Options or opinions?

Thanks

I think the 525 heads are edlebrocks. They are reasonably priced.

If you want any gains, you have to remap the ECM.

Be interested in the ballpark cost as well as knowing if the original Merc head covers will still fit?? Trying to look as stock as possible.

If your talking about the new Mercury 525 heads they are built by Edelbrock. But cannot be interchanged as he exhaust bolt flange and the cooling paths are completely different.

I would also be interested in a ballpark price. I want a Whipple but it's not happening this summer.
