Default Mercury 525sc

I got some good info from other websites and was directed here for more help. I would like to get more power from my 525sc. I know a bigger blower would do the trick but I was thinking of starting small. Pulleys, carb, intake? Anyone have a 525sc and have any ideas? Also what is the max hp that a Brovo I can safely handle? I have a drive shower but not sure if any internal work has been done.

Thanks.

Had a friend put on intercoolers and smaller blower pulleys on 525SC's and got more speed, he didn't dyno. The bravo will handle up to 600 hp as is but there are threads that go on and on regarding B1 hp if you do a search.

I have a pair of 525scs in my Velocity,Intercoolers,CMI exhaust and a few small carb mods.aprox 650 Hp.You will need to upgrade the drives because with the added torque you will blow the floors out of the drive,I switched to Imco Extreme Sc drives and have had no more issues, good luck with it and if you have any other questions you can always PM me.

About the most you will be able to get out of a 525sc is 600hp with a chiller, smaller pulley and cam change.

If its the boat in your profile you are in better shape then a big heavy twin engine boat.

Those blowers were small and make alot of heat when spuin faster.

Put an intercooler on the top of your list.
