My merc dist has a .425 shaft which the standard gear doesn't fit. Has anyone run across this before?? If you have what part # is it and can you get from GM.

It is the .427 gear. Some BBC and SBC and V-6 apps. I need to find out if they have a melonized gear this size.

The GM part# is 19052845 and it is a hardened (melonized ) gear. GM sends what they have to Merc and this happened to be what was put in mine. It is the small cap, external coil HEI dist.
