Bravo drive coupler/Big power
What drive coupler do you guys with big power and Bravo style drives use?
Is there any other than the Merc Hi-Perf one? What about a spring loaded one like the ones that are used with trannys?
There must be some plates that fit Bravo's that's not the rubber ones, right???

there are some aftermarket couplers out there for hi perf. stay with the rubber couplers, they save all the shafts in the drive, there are a lot of boats out there running 1000 hp+ with the rubber couplers and hold up fine.

I run what Griff mentioned and I have about the same HP as you do.

Not that couplers never break, but everything in the Bravo drive is probably weaker than the coupler. I've seen Alpha boats with bad couplers, I think they fail at random or from manufacturer defects more often than from hp.
