Trim pump fittings/adapters

Trim pump fittings/adapters
I have the old oildyne trim pumps. For whatever reason, the way it was rigged sucks. The hydraulic hoses that screw in to the trim pump have "fixed" fittings. In other words, when you unscew them from the pump, the entire rubber hose twists. I want to make up some fittings so that I can screw one end on the hose, and the other end into the pump, without twisting the hose. Kind of like a brake line or line that goes to the trim cylinders.
Does anyone know what size/thread they would be??

Some one must have changed them. Every merc trim line is inverted flare. Is it a stern drive? Which drive? plastic or metal reservoir? It will save a lot of running around if you order replacements instead of trying parts stores. some have same size both ends new pumps do not. You can order from BAM and PRO Marine.

They have the metal reservoirs. The fittings on the end of the hose are inverted flare style, however they are just crimped to the hose, rather than a flared tube with a nut. Its all one piece. Boat is a 1983 with TRS.
Replacing the lines that go to the transom on both sides would be a total P.I.T.A. Who would have thought swapping a trim pump would be such a project.
I may need to make up some adapters out of brake line parts.

Try your local hydraulics store. They're a great source of help, and can even replace the ends, or make hoses to your specifications.

Mild, when I rigged my boat (Bravo) the trim lines were short, I added brake line to them to make them longer. I am in fresh water, but they have been in the boat for 9yrs and no problems.. Just a thought..
If all new is a pita, then then maybe try a short piece of brake line??
