Thanks again fellas. I picked up an impeller and a exhaust temp sensor just to be safe. I will try to change the impeller tonight and go to the lake if it ever stops raining here. I need to get it running right befor the holiday weekend.
I will do a write up on the whipple install, and I think I will pull the motor and add some forged rods and pistons since it is getting close to the end of the season.
Dustin,I will be in contact on your suggestions for pistons etc as soon as my box arrives.

Just be sure that there is no grooves in the impeller housing.

Talk to Mark @ Semper Speed and Marine, (559.436.1888). He has pistons/rods in stock for the 496 Mag HO. Stock bore and .030" over.
