Just a general idea, to gain 10-11 MPH means you will need about 200HP. Whipples will give you that. The EFI intake is the hold back on that engine. I did heads, cam, compression, & dyno on mine. Got it to 570HP. I did one last yearfor a buddy, made it a 540, heads, cam Etc. Dyno at 630HP. It runs out of air. The intake was fine for what it was but will not make any big power.

Last winter we upgraded some 500efi to make a little over 600hp at 5100-5200,we used afr cnc heads, custom grind cam,55lb injectors, aeromotive fuel system, arizona throttle body and custom ecm tuning, engines went into a 42 cig and runs great,I could put together a complete kit for you if interested, just bolt it up and go.If you don't use a complete tested kit would be easier to use a single plane and holley hp carb along with heads and cam work, unless you want to spend a lot of time on dyno tuning.Dave 410-956-5381

Superchargers make the most hp, hands down. Thats 12-15mph and 200-250hp. For NA, better heads, cam, porting intake, big throttle body, tuned for 91 will get you around 580-600hp. After that, you need ci and compression to make more.
