Best oil for endurance or gasoline dilution?
I was asked this recently..
Motul is a Group V Ester non-PAO oil. The 15W-50 or 20W-60 is great in endurance racing where a change is prohibitive.
It also dilutes very well with gasoline and in that regard turbos and blowers could use this oil near all the time in Offshore use.
It goes for $29.99 for a 1/2 gallon.
The ester synthetic bases and specific anti-friction additivation result in significantly increasing the oil
film resistance, reducing friction in the engine, maintaining the oil pressure, and generally decreasing
the operating temperature.
Extreme resistance against coking at high temperature.
High safety margin when the oil is diluted by the fuel in the engine.
Provides a high oil pressure and limits its consumption.

I have used it..my favorite syn so far.
Top it off with a Mobil-1; K&N or Wix filter and you are good to go the distance.

One of the reasons it is better from a fuel dilution standpoint is that at 210F the oil is a grade 60 and from a viscosity standpoint, that's thick. The thicker the oil the less effect fuel has on the final viscosity. It will take more fuel to thin it out.
You want something to really hold up to fuel dilution, use a Grade 70 oil. Just make sure the ambient is over 50F.

and you are seriously suggesting running 70 wt oil in ANYTHING other than a cat bulldozer ? because you think that somehow because it has a higher viscosity that you can feel free to dilute it with fuel ?
that logic is so wrong on so many levels there isn't enough space here to address half of it.
