Default trim/limit sender wiring

I by passed my limit switch when I installed my gaffric throttle assy last year, my trim gauge does not work, now I never ran the boat with the factory shifter and don't know if it was working before or not, has new gaffric gauge but no idea if it was working. any way assumed the sender was bad, but was told that the sender and limit switch are wired together and wondering if running no separate trailer tilt switch could be the issue ?? thanks Rob

They are wired individually on my boat. The limit switch keeps you from over triming with the trim switch. The Sender is a resistance switch that works the guage. The guage will still work without the limit switch hooked up.

There are two 2 wire coming out of transom. one end has a blue sleeve on it and goes to trim pump each has a bullet connector. The second 2 wire for the gauge usually has a brown sleeve on a bullet connector and one ring terminal to ground.
