Default Straight bottom V's X dimension

I'm just curious what you guys have for drive height on old school straight bottom V's. I have a 33 Powerplay I'm trying some 2" shorties on and I'm not sure if they might be too high or not.
Measuring from the bottom of the boat with the drive trimed parallel to the bottom I'm measuring 3 1/4" down to the tip of the bullet. Do you guys think that might be too high.

Thanks,
Frank

If the bullet and prop shaft are the same measurement from the bottom, you should see more top end MPH and you are not too high on the X. What props have you been using?

I currently have 30" stock bravo's. I'm spinning them to 5600. I don't know how it's going to act with the shorties so I'll use them as a baseline and see. I have a feeling I'm going to have to re prop.
