I think most everyone would agree that at this time the Morel lifters are the best bet.

cafe,
If you decide to go with the Morel's, email me and I will give you a pretty good price.

I have two sets in my 502s and they work great but they make a lot of noise when cold.I have adjusted them a few times to try and get them quit but for the first minute or so they tap away and then the rest of the day they are quit.Any ideas if maybe something is wrong or is this common for the morels?Motors only have about 70 hrs on them.

Thanks Anthony

We have not touched our valve train on our Ice Injection test engines.

We now have 220 hrs spinning up to 6600 rpms on most every test run.

This is with 93 pump gas & methanol injected 565s 14 -71 high helix 14 honest lbs of boost using "Crane hydraulic lifters" and quite high spring pressure.

We hope to see 300hrs with out a tear down of any kind.

As we still leak down 9% cold.

We have had great luck with Crane lifters on these high rpm big power hydraulic applications!

Anthony,
I have not had any reports of them being noisy. I would look for something else being the cause. What oil filters are you using ? Some of the "less expensive" ones do not have the proper anti drainback valves and will cause the same problem.

Is there two different model numbers for a mark 4 and a gen 5 block? Both motors were freshened and I wonder if the motor guys mixed them up if they are different?
