Usually, the NA motors are within a half point from rich to lean. The lean bank varies from engine to engine. Two identical engines can have different banks that are lean.
The engines with the biggest variances from bank to bank are the SC engines. Whipples have bad distribution from side to side if spun slowly. When turned up, they have very similar afr's from bank to bank. If you slow them down, the vary as much as 2 points or more. I'm sure other blowers are the same. Not a knock to Whipple as I love the blowers and use them almost exclusively. They just don't like to be spun slowly.
