Default which stock prop on baja 320 es?

who knows which props on a stock baja 320es are used and at which RPM range? the seller gave me 24, 3 blade props and told me that they are fine. but he also told me the 454 carburated mags have 420 horsepower.

454 mag carbed motors are 365hp.With those motors in that boat assuming it has 1.50 ratio outdrives with the drive height being pretty conservative 3 blade props in the 23"-25" pitch range should be what you need. What brand are the props that you have? Mercury Mirage props come in odd numbered increments.

You need a paid membership to post pics or you can link them them from somewhere like photobucket.

Until you actually drive the boat and test the props, there is no way to know whats right and wrong. Just because a certain prop came on the boat from the factory in 1991, doesn't make it the best one for the boat.

The newer mirage plus props work very good on these boats. 23 pitch mirage plus props will likely work good on your boat allowing your engine to turn 4800 to 5000 rpm if it is a mag. This will get you in the mid 60 mph range.

Your boat like mine has deep running drives, and four blade props do not give best top speed, however, 24 pitch four blade bravo I props will give you better midrange speed but about 2-3 mph less top speed.

Before you do any prop changes, run your boat, and record speed at 3000 rpm, 4000 rpm, and wide open (what rpm at wide open?). Then post results and members here will have better information to help you. Also spend a little $$ so you can post pictures of boat, engines, and props.
thanks, very interestig thread.

If they're 24 pitch 3 blades, they could be
precision propellers "turbo" series of props.

They used them a lot on older Baja's...they
seemed to work better than the Mirage's of the day.
