Pushrod Length?

If you were to change out the stock lifters on a stock 502 gen vi to Cranes (#16535-16) lifter (not the tie bar type), would the pushrod length remain the same? I have been told "yes", but looks like they need to be longer. Teague on Tech says they should be shorter? Anyone no for sure or do I need to measure it myself?

Dont take anyones opinions or their experiences with pushrod lengths. Everyones engine is a bit different and needs to be checked.

Here is my opinion

Check the length. I would never think about just guessing. Its not hard to do, and the tool is not that expensive. Once you learn how to do it, its simple.

On a hydraulic roller setup, how do you block the lifter at the correct preload height to get an accurate/proper reading on the pushrod length? I am running the Crane cam 99896 springs (528lb/in) which collapse the lifter without oil pressure.
