Question EMI Thunder SS Riser Dimensions

G'day All,

Does anyone run the EMI Thunder SS Risers (the long tube low rise ones)?

The reason I ask is because my Risers didn't fit under the hatch so I've had to buy the EMI Cast elbow risers but I would like to know if the SS low rise ones will fit instead. (preferably before I buy them)

Is the bottom of the riser exit in line with the inlet flange base or lower?

What is the total height from base of inlet flange to top of riser?

The pics are:
Green = the ones I just bought for an immediate solution.

Polished = the ones I hope will fit if I buy them later.

Motor = my current predicament

Cheers,
John

The black riser on the engine pic is not a eddie marine it is a stock 496 riser that is really taller the the low riser from eddie marine what is your email and I will send you pics with a tape measurement I think they are no higher they the green one you have I have both risers from eddie marine long and short

Thanks Rock.

The black risers are the 496 ones (I know now!) which I bought a while back before the manifolds arrived. I made up a set of billet adaptor plates to fit them to the EMI manifolds and was debating getting them cut down to the same height as the EMI SS Risers but I'm not sure if it's worth the effort?

It's hard to pick when doing a custom install because I don't want to relocate the exhaust holes and I'm not exactly sure where the exits on the EMI risers (SS or cast) will need to be.

Trial and error is fun, but it costs money.

Anyone need two pairs of 496 Risers? Going cheep!
(I have two pairs, don't ask why...)

They look great! And they are about the same height as the cast style? (approx.)
I'll fit these cast ones and make sure they work and then probably upgrade to your shorties if they'll fit.

Thanks!
John

(seriously, anyone want my 496 risers? I can't use them!)
