Okay, I know. I really need to call RM Builder but bare with me...
I've been reading into the Crane Cam scenario a bit too much I think. I have a custom cam now but I still can't go past the Crane 741 (which I don't have). However; people here talk about reversion being an issue of concern because of LSA of 112 on the 741. The 525efi cam was the crane 731 with 114 LSA to help combat reversion so on that idea, how's the Crane '771' cam stack up as a potential candidate?
It has 114 deg LSA, 0.621 int./0.632 exh. lift and is good for a 3'800 to 7'000rpm range (I know that's huge!)
But in comparison the the 741 cam at 112 deg LSA, 0.610 int./0.632 exh. lift and 3'000-6'500rpm wouldn't the 114 LSA of the 771 be better?
I really need a new hobby...

The 525EFI cam is a 741 ground a 114 lob sep. The 114 is more for the efi system than to prevent reversion. With decent exhaust, the regular 741 on a 112 should not have reversion problems.
I had a 731 in my 454 and its has 112 lob sep and never had a hint of reversion with CMI unitops.
Its pretty much a moot point though since it is highly unlikey that you be able to find any of them.
I don't know what the 771 is. What are all the specs???
