Default I need prop advice for my Carrera SS8M

I have a 1989 Carerra ss8M which I just put a new engine in. Its a 540 that dynoed at 685 HP at 5500 RPM and 695 F/P torque at 4600 RPM. I put a 28 Bravo 1 prop on it as a starting point. At 5000 RPM I was doing 72 MPH which was great for this boat, but the problem is that as I accelerate, the boat tends to want to nose dive to the left. Also, after about 60 mph, it wants to porpus. It never did this with the old engine(450 HP.) The boat also only ran 62 MPH then. Is it because of the torque that it nose dives? Is it because of the stock Bravo1 prop? Can these problems be corrected by reworking the prop?.....................
