97 22 scarab alpha...shift issue
boat is having shift issues from drive to neutral
I know this is one of 2 things.......
shift interrupter or cable.
I'm just about to buy this boat and will check to make sure the green/white cable from the distributer is going to the grey cable of the shift interrupter
If everything is cool with the shift interrupter....how hard is it to replace the cable? I have no idea but have been told they are fairly cheap and easy to install

what is the issue? is it stalling? if so its the cable. not to bad to change. but will take some time if its your first time. you will need a special socket. also check the shift shaft bushings at the same time.

You can trigger the switch and see if it cuts out. If it does its working and out of alignment or cable. The cable is pretty straight forward, I don't recall ever having to use a special socket. Its a nut cable pulls out.
The alpha has to cut power for a splt second to release the pressure so it comes out of gear.
