Default Holley 950 Hp carb

Hello All,
I trying to find out if a holley 950 HP style carb is to big for a 550 Hp big block. I have an 800 now and was told that is seems to be to small for the engine. Any suggestions

Just going to use more gas with that HP. The one you have might be overkill itself. Just depends on the set up. I've seen 600HP out of a stock 750carb. If the engine doesn't need more carb, giving it more carb won't do you any good.

The HP500 came from the factory with 800cfm carbs and they were even jetted a little rich. So having said that, I doubt that 50hp more will necessitate more carb.
