Default Why Change Trim Tabs

I have a 1996 26 ft. Scarab that has 12X12 Bennett tabs on it. I have added a supercharger and run faster than 60 now. Want to know why I would want to change tabs if I rarely use them now. What is their main purpose other than keep the bow down or help with lean on one side or the other?

I ran bennets for many years and they suited me fine. I did bend one one time, proabably because of the weight of the boat. But it was easy to fix. Last winter I sprung for eddie marine 24" long tabs and boy are they purdy! I don't really notice any difference except the deployment rate is way faster, which is good at time.
