Default Will these swap???

Sorry I don't have access to the prop talk section.

So I have SSM II's with 19 spline long shafts. Someone told me that they thought the II's could take Bravo props.

Can anyone confirm or deny this before I go ordering new stuff.

Thanks!

The Bravo's do not fit as far as I know. The 19 spline props are used on Speedy 2, 3's, Arnesons, etc. The are not easy to find.

And they are expensive, I think a bravo is a 15 spline.

I believe Arneson make an adapter hub to fit a Bravo prop to the 19 spline. It's worth a call.

Darrell.
Thanks.

I can put the Bravo propeller onto your drive, however how you will address the difference in hub diameters is a harder one to solve.

The Speedmaster is a few inches less in diameter than the Bravo propeller is and thus there will be a lot of drag.

I make a propeller adapter that will allow you to put a new SSM#6 style propeller onto your drive which will be the more logical choice.

What's the spline count for the outboards? Are you looking for cleavers? Seems that they are much less than #6 props.

This was my idea about 6 yrs ago and I found the outboard propellers have to little blade area for a boat with any size. I have done several adapters for 18-25' small V's but on a larger boat they have a bit to much slippage so you have to compensate for the slippage.

They are limited to a 15" diameter + - a little and depending upon the boat, some of the smaller pitch ones (Pro ET) are only available in RH rotation with limited pitches.
